The location of the Bunka Hostel couldn’t be better: in the middle of Asakusa and just a stone’s throw from the big Sensō-ji shrine. Even the unusual interior design – especially the concepts of the sleeping cabins – couldn’t be better and has already won the Good Design Award 2016. To be more precise, you sleep in wooden cubes of different sizes that are equipped with separate sleeping cabins. In each of the typical Japanese bunks there is light, a coat hook and a 1-metre wide bed. There are also private rooms available for up to eight guests and dormitories for purely female guests. And the culinary well-being is also provided with a good Sushi restaurant on the ground floor – but there is also a communal kitchen!
